PHP Web Developer

Location: Quiet Storm Solutions limited Talbot Street Whitwick Coalville Leicestershire LE67 5AW

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000

Outline of Job Role and Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced PHP Web Developer to join our online department, taking on a number of responsibilities, including the creation of new websites and the maintenance of existing projects. The successful candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, have a high level of attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.

Required Skills and Experience

At least 2 years experience in the following areas:-

• Object-oriented PHP
• MySQL relational databases
• HTML and CSS
• JavaScript

Beneficial Skills

Experience in the following areas would also be beneficial:-

• jQuery
• Linux/Apache server administration
• Use of version control systems, particularly SVN but also Git
• Use of APIs and web services

Additional Skills and Experience

• Ability to cope with tight deadlines and complex projects
• Ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and pressures
• Ability to solve problems and find solutions under own initiative
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work within set guidelines
• Ability to communicate effectively within the team
• Willingness and ability to engage in further development and training
• Commitment to high levels of customer service and quality

Salary

The successful candidate will be offered a position with a salary commensurate with their level of skills and experience and their ability to hit the ground running. The successful candidate can expect a salary in the range of £20-£25k.
