Established in 1993, the family-run firm has built an unrivalled reputation for offering a complete solution, from sourcing and supplying new and second- hand compressors to servicing and maintenance, pipework design and installation, energy monitoring and leak testing. All its services are backed by highly competitive rates and a first-class call-out response service. Cambs Compressors is a longstanding Quiet Storm client and we’ve been looking after its website and strategic marketing for several years. We produce a quarterly newsletter, which the firm sends out to a database of more than 500 clients. Earlier this year, on the back of an announcement by Chancellor Rishi Sunak, the newsletter featured an article about a new tax relief available against the purchase of new compressed air equipment. The article generated plenty of interest, including a sales lead for the potential replacement of two old Hydrovane compressors with new machines, and a solution to evaluate the savings in reduced air loss. Streamlining divisional operations at Breedon Group Breedon is a leading construction materials group, producing a wide range of aggregates, cement and specialist concrete products. It operates two cement plants and an extensive network of quarries, asphalt plants and ready-mixed concrete plants, together with slate production, concrete and clay products manufacturing, contract surfacing and highway maintenance operations. It is split into three divisions – Great Britain (GB), Ireland and Cement. The first two are fully integrated aggregates and downstream products businesses, while the latter is a major producer of bulk and bagged cement. Breedon is a longstanding Quiet Storm client, and we’ve completed several major projects together over the years. Recently, we were tasked with creating a new CRM platform for Breedon GB to streamline and simplify its sales and customer operations. It was looking for a bespoke system to help optimise its backend processes and make the business run more efficiently. Several of its departments were operating in silos, and it needed a central business management hub for recording projects, staff and communications, assigning and managing tasks and workflows, storing important documents, maintaining an audit trail and, crucially, assuring transparency and accountability. To solve the problem, we created a bespoke version of our cloud- based Vision CRM platform, which can be accessed online via tablet or desktop. On the back of its successful development, we were appointed to create a similar system for Breedon Cement, with adaptations and enhancements, to help the division achieve complete visibility of all its operations, whether staff were working from home or remotely during the coronavirus pandemic.
