From its UK base in Leicestershire, it serves clients in the chemical, oil and gas, hotel and leisure, food & drink and public service sectors nationwide. Quiet Storm has worked with ProMinent UK on several projects, mainly around repositioning its brand and offer to the UK marketplace. We were tasked with helping ProMinent make an impact at ChemUK 2022. Its team asked for our creative input in developing some event graphics to reflect its brand and service proposition. We created a seamless foamex wall with a timeline of the company’s history and key brand messages. We also left space to integrate an LED screen into the display, showing ProMinent’s corporate video content. Wes Sutton, ProMinent UK’s Managing Director, said: “ChemUK is one of the most significant events of the year in our industry, so it’s crucial that we’re not only there among our competitors, but that we stand out from the crowd. The exhibition graphics Quiet Storm created for us did just that.” M-EC Development Technical Consultants is a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy. It works across a wide range of sectors, from civil engineering, transport and road safety to flood risk & drainage, street lighting and geo-environmental. We’ve worked with M-EC over several years and following a rebranding exercise we conducted for the client, we were also tasked with relaunching its corporate website with a new look and feel that better reflects the business, its values and the markets it serves. We created a new website with simple architecture and navigation to give clients quick and easy access to whatever services they are looking for. Managing Director Eddie Mewies said: “We’ve built our reputation by being at the forefront of what we do, so need a website to reflect our business, values and how we help solve clients’ challenges. Our new website does just that and gives us the platform we need to move forward and achieve our future growth objectives.” An engineered web solution We’ve developed a strong working partnership with their team over several years. They asked us to create around 100 new acrylic display units it uses to house stone samples for their trade customers and landscapers. Breedon had some existing units in place, but these had dated branding and had suffered a lot of wear and tear over the years, so they didn’t portray the products – or brand – in the best light. Our objective was to re-engineer the units to ensure they were robust enough to handle the weight of the aggregates on display, withstand the hustle and bustle of a busy showroom, and reflect Breedon’s brand and sales message effectively. The units we designed were made of thicker clear acrylic than the previous versions, which meant they could handle more weight, but also weren’t as easy to knock around or damage. Once the units were created, we added custom-branded vinyl to each with product names, sales information and contact and social media details. Laura McGlynn, Sales Manager at Breedon Special Aggregates, said: “This was such an unusual job, so we needed someone we could trust to have a look at it for us. Quiet Storm did an excellent job of thinking through what the units would be used for, where they would be placed and how robust they would need to be to withstand getting knocked around in builders’ showrooms and at events. “I really wanted a ‘cleaner’, more modern look with these units, and Quiet Storm thought about how they could be designed and branded to ensure they carried the right messaging and calls to action to support our sales objectives. “All in all, they did a great job of creating some bespoke units that really show our products off in the best light and I couldn’t be happier with the end result.” Breedon Special Aggregates offers a comprehensive range of decorative aggregates and high-quality limestone products to domestic and commercial customers across the UK.
