Multi language website helps boost overseas sales
1 October 2002
Translations are difficult enough but on a website where the information is constantly changing they can be a nightmare. ....not any more!
Applied Energy sells Xpelair, Creda and Redring products around the world, and they are particularly strong in the European markets of France, Germany and Spain. To capitalise on these markets their export sales team wanted the website to become multi-lingual. But with the information featured regularly changing, the only problem was how the translation updates would be managed.
Quiet Storm, working with a translation, agency automated the process so that any changes to the English version automatically generate an email to the translation agency. The translation is then done and upon the reply email reaching the website, it is automatically posted to the relevant area of the site.
Joe Barrasso of Applied Energy said: "The role Quiet Storm has played in this process has made managing the translation process trouble-free for us. We are currently exploring ways in which we can further tailor the site for these European markets with the help of Quiet Storm."
