Packaging design set to increase sales for producer

The decision to change the way it packages exotic mushrooms meant that Livesey Brothers needed to have designs created for the new packaging.
Any design had to meet a number of technical requirements as the packaging process selected by Livesey Brothers involved printing directly onto the film wrappers. Taking the technical specifications into account the design also had to look attractive, be eye-catching and add value to the product, as Tim Livesey explained.
"The exotic mushrooms concerned are supplied to wholesalers and the restaurant trade nationwide. We wanted our logo incorporating into the design and we also needed the packaging to give instructions to users of the products.
"It was important that the product name is prominent - users want to be able to see at a glance that they have the ingredient they are looking for.
"Quiet Storm was able to work within the technical restraints and came up with several great ideas in response to our brief which made it difficult to chose but one has now been selected and is currently in production.
"The new packaging will extend the shelf-life of the Enoki, Mixed Oriental and Buna Shimeji mushrooms and draw attention to our produce. We are confident that the new designs and extended shelf life will increase product sales."
