New website and brochure that get results

During its 20 year history, Medley Precision Engineering has invested in some of the most advanced metal cutting machine tools available. This continual investment and the company’s commitment to staff training and motivation has ensured a reputation for delivering machined components on time, on budget and to exceptional standards.
But in today’s markets this approach is no longer enough to ensure a company’s success. The management team at Medley recognised the need for a marketing strategy that would communicate with their existing customers more effectively as well as attract new ones. Unsure of where to begin they first sought advice from Matsuura Machinery Marketing Executive Ian Michie who advised them to work with Quiet Storm.
Ian explained: “During negotiations for their latest machine tool from Matsuura, Medley enquired if it would be possible to involve Matsuura marketing with their brand awareness and communication issues. They are very low key about their achievements and investments but they know all too well, with the global storm that rages around all companies right now, that had to change.
“Making them aware of the dynamic of their market, and the long term view they have to take, bought Matsuura marketing to recommend Quiet Storm as a partner for building the Medley brand and forming the right communication and sales tools for them to progress into the future. Matsuura and Quiet Storm have worked to great effect on previous projects and Matsuura had no problems or issues whatsoever in recommending Quiet Storm. With the energy, insight and focus they bring to bear on all projects I personally knew that Quiet Storm would inspire Medley and make them focus on the ‘marketing process’ – exactly what Medley needs. I have every confidence that Quiet Storm are the right partner to lead them to a position where they can ‘stand alone’ and control and understand their communication strategy. Medley are certainly not burying their heads and allowing the recession to ravage them. They are coming out fighting and positioning themselves for the inevitable upturn and investing to maximise the real opportunities that always arise at the tail end of a rapid market re-adjustment.”
Confident they were going in the right direction, Medley met with Quiet Storm and a corporate website and brochure were commissioned. These would work for the company on several levels and form the basis of any immediate marketing activity.
Medley’s Marketing Manager Petra Medley said: “We could see that a well designed website would present a professional image of the company and show the market exactly what we can do. It is unusual for a company of our size and in our position in the market to focus on company profile. It is a new challenge for us. Quiet Storm have really taken care to ensure we have understood the process and are showing us how, used correctly, these new marketing tools will generate more leads.
“We are delighted with our website. I have a background in design and I had high expectations but Quiet Storm exceeded them! The site has now gone live and customers are already commenting on the great look and the wealth of information. We have also started distributing our brochure, which carries the same feel as the website. Having such a strong corporate identity is going to be instrumental in carrying Medley forward and has also given everyone in the company an even bigger sense of pride in what we offer.”
