How to increase the visibility of your website
10 May 2010
Chief Executive Officer Louise George said: “We recognised that our existing website was five years old and it was time for something new. We wanted a site that we could edit and maintain ourselves as this would save us time and money and provide greater flexibility. The site should also be fully-optimised so that we appear higher in the search results when people look on the internet for our type of product. Overall we wanted to project our corporate image more effectively and increase our profile.
“Quiet Storm offered us a solution designed to meet our objectives. The team also suggested ways to make the site work more effectively for us such as capturing visitor data via an on-line enquiry form and by offering free information downloads. The package also included workshops to equip our staff with the new skills needed to maintain the site and how to optimise the site to achieve a higher ranking in the search results.
“At the start of the project, Quiet Storm led us through a brain-storming session to draw out information about our company, what we needed to achieve and what we wanted to appear on the site. Having a dedicated member of the Quiet Storm web team assigned to us was highly valuable as any questions or issues were dealt with quickly. We have a great deal of information to display and we cater for several markets so building a site that is clear and easy for visitors to navigate has been a challenge. The site has been in the test phase for the past weeks which gave us the chance to fine-tune where necessary and we are just about to go live.
“Thanks to Quiet Storm we are now empowered to manage our website, keeping it updated and fresh. We will be monitoring the site’s performance over the coming months and look forward to seeing the effect it has on our on-line profile. It is good to feel more in control of our marketing efforts and we plan to add to our ‘tool-kit’. Our next step is for Quiet Storm to design templates for our product data sheets which we can update as necessary and we also hope to start using Mail-Blast for e-marketing.”
