A great business idea taken from concept to market in just 8 weeks

TRC’s operate in a similar way to council-run household recycling centres but are exclusively for SME’s. The members only scheme allows companies to take their waste to convenient local centres where 28 different waste streams can be recycled and there is no landfill tax to pay.

When parent company Centrol Recycling Group came up with the concept the Directors were confident it was a winner and wanted a brand identity, marketing materials and a website created quickly.

Centrol Group Chairman and TRC Director Rachel Oborne said: “The idea for the Trade Recycling Centre began life on the back of a scrap of paper. When we approached Quiet Storm all we really had was the basic concept, the name and a strap line – ‘business recycling made easy’. Quiet Storm worked very closely with us to bring a complex concept to market in just two months.

“The logo was key to driving the identity of the brand and they gave us a great design. With this agreed Quiet Storm were able to design and print our business cards, stationery, membership packs and the flyers for the launch. They also took care of all the photography requirements for the website and produced a video that clearly demonstrates the TRC process to businesses.

“One of the reasons we chose Quiet Storm was their ability to be flexible and move with a project. TRC is the first of its kind and we knew that to get the website exactly right we might have to make changes once it went live. It’s absolutely crucial that the website is effective because we are relying on it to create turnover and generate income for the business. Quiet Storm were able to swiftly accommodate changes to the site in response to the needs of our customers.

“Not only have the Quiet Storm team proved they can think outside of the box they have showed great flexibility and speed and we are completely happy with what they have delivered.”

TRC is a great waste solution for SME’s and saves them money. The drive-through centres, managed by friendly staff, are conveniently located on industrial estates and are open seven days a week. There is no limit to the amount of recyclable waste that can be taken by businesses and TRC can arrange waste pick-ups if needed.

Questions on how the scheme works and what it costs are all answered on the website. Customers select the membership option which suits their business, join on-line and a membership pack is sent out immediately. This includes a Duty of Care Waste Transfer Note, which allows the legal transport of waste from the business premises to the local TRC.
