Storming® websites chosen to promote Paralympic Movement worldwide

After teaming up with Quiet Storm, the International Paralympic Committee is on track to get more nations online within 5 years.

National Paralympic Committees around the world are being offered a Storming® off-the-shelf web profile. Incorporating individual branding into the site design is simple and populating and updating pages is quick and easy.

Craig Spence, IPC Director of Media & Communications, explains: “With just over half of our National Paralympic Committees having an online presence it is important for the growth of the Paralympic Movement that we develop a long term online strategy. That is why we have teamed up with Quiet Storm. The cost effective solution they offer us allows us to create a number of low cost but highly effective websites in a short space of time.

“Our plan over the coming year is to develop up to 25 sites with the site for the Oceania Paralympic Committee the first to go live. One of the best aspects of this partnership is that the sites are so simple to set-up and use. This is a great benefit to us as some of the countries we are working with have never used a website before, and they are up to speed and using the sites within just one short training session.”

“Quiet Storm have an excellent track record, are easy to deal with and, despite their growth in recent years, offer a personal and comprehensive service. We are looking forward to working with them over the coming years as we work together to help raise awareness of the Paralympic Movement.”

Quiet Storm have been building websites since 1996 and has worked with many major organisations across the globe. This heritage and proven expertise makes them a credible provider to the IPC and its National Paralympic Committees. The Storming® websites offer an inexpensive, uncomplicated, ready-to-go option for organisations requiring a stylish internet presence. For the IPC, the Storming® solution also brings the added benefit of uniformity of design to all the new sites and strengthens the Paralympic Movement brand.

The 2012 Paralympic Games in London later this year are set to be the biggest ever, featuring 4,200 athletes, from 160 countries, competing in 20 sports. Every four years the Games showcase the achievements of athletes with an impairment and motivate others to take part in Paralympic sports.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement. Its purpose is to organise the summer and winter Paralympic Games and act as the International Federation for nine sports, supervising and co-ordinating World Championships and other competitions.
