Website launched at national Biffawards ceremony

2001 Biffawards awards ceremony, a high profile event in London and attended by the Rt Hon Michael Meacher MP, saw the launch of www.biffaward.org

Biffaward was created in 1997 when Biffa Waste Services agreed to donate landfill tax credits to the Royal Society for Nature Conservation (RSNC) to administer. Recognised as one of the most respected landfill tax credit funded schemes, Biffaward to date has distributed over £39 million to projects throughout the UK.

Quiet Storm is responsible for the website that explains the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme, how to apply for Biffaward funding, details and projects already supported. But this is only half the story....

A complete project management system based on the RSNC's intranet provides instant reporting on the status of any project and, as project staff record and promote their work, the intranet automatically updates the website.

Users don't need complicated formatting or software to input data. In fact with only an hour's training users can generate reports, letters and spreadsheets.

"When we told Quiet Storm what we wanted, they very quickly grasped the essence of the problem - managing multiple data input streams. They were able to comprehend the variety of functions we are obliged to perform under terms of the funding and delivered a solution which has surpassed even my high expectations. It's easy to use and has increased our efficiency, factors which were paramount as the number of new projects increase month on month." Andrea White 'Fund Manager'
