Display systems help increase national campaign profile

Rethink Rubbish is a national, 'umbrella' campaign, operated by the National Waste Awareness Initiative (NWAI) that enables organisations from a range of sectors to join together in promoting waste issues under a consistent banner.

As part of the campaign the Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority, which is responsible for waste in nine district council areas including Bolton and Stockport, has decided to run a communications campaign.

One of the methods the Authority decided to use was to provide each of the councils with exhibition boards that they could display either in their civic offices or at a range of other locations within their areas.

The boards needed to be consistent with each other and with the marketing guidelines set at the national level. The ways in which they were to be used also meant it would make everyone's life easier if they were completely portable and easy to erect.

Quiet Storm was invited to provide a solution and as a result the authorities have been supplied with two roller banner systems each.

Georgina Cross, speaking on behalf of the NWAI, said: "They met the brief exactly and the matching of colours with those of the campaign is excellent. The boards really stand out and they are very flexible. Some are being used as permanent exhibitions while others will go to a range of locations."

Quiet Storm Solutions designed the website for the national campaign last year - visit it at www.rethinkrubbish.com
