Chief Exec of The Derbyshire Building Society uses video to deliver personal message to employees

The highly successful regional society saw Quiet Storm’s On Show team in action at the Derbyshire Business Awards. As a finalist in the Employer of the Year category the company was filmed by Quiet Storm for an audio visual presentation screened at the awards ceremony.

And video has since provided the means to get a message to people in different places at different times in a personal way for The Derbyshire. The Board wanted staff to receive a clear message about the Society's Corporate Plan.

Chief Executive Peter Richardson, was filmed at the society’s premises in East Street, Derby.

By using the medium the Chief Executive was able to give a very personal feel to the message and, at the same time, illustrate features of a new look introduced in the key city centre branch.

Quiet Storm carried out the on-location filming and then edited the tape to create a five-minute presentation.

The video has been shown to several large groups of employees at different times. In addition Quiet Storm has created an audio version of the video that has gone to every one of The Derbyshire’s 53 branches around the Midlands and beyond.

Speaking about the project, The Derbyshire’s Corporate Communications Manager Rob Hill said: “Quiet Storm provided us with exactly what we needed and did so very efficiently.

“The video and audio tapes have enabled us to achieve the effective communication with staff that we see as being a responsible trademark of our organisation.”
