Content management is a huge bonus for multi million pound international company

Ashfield trains and develops field-based teams of medical sales representatives and nurse advisors and has around 1,000 employees in the UK, 97 of which are based at its Ashby headquarters. The company, which also has Irish and US bases, enjoys contracts with some of the biggest names in the pharmaceutical industry

With a client and employee base so geographically wide-spread, it is important that up to date information can be easily provided and accessed by people wherever they are based.

But making changes to the website that Ashfield originally had involved contacting an outside party and requesting changes to be made by them.

When it came to revamping the site this year, Ashfield's Communications Officer Estelle Vincent admits that although they wanted to update the appearance, the most vital thing they needed to gain was in-house control.

That is what Quiet Storm has provided, a refreshed site that is completely in the control of the client.

"To be able to have control is a huge bonus," Estelle said. "Particularly in enabling us to make the content appropriate for each of the three countries in which we operate."

On entering the main site visitors can choose UK, Eire or USA and although the structure of each site is the same, the content varies. Estelle explained: "Our editing ability means we can accommodate for cultural differences and also provide for example news items and vacancy details relevant to each specific area."

Estelle said that the team at Ashfield quickly built up an excellent working relationship with Quiet Storm. "They have been responsive, accessible and supportive. We had a menu structure and it was especially helpful that Quiet Storm was able to fit in with it," she added.

"They have worked with us to create a website that works really well."
