Hotel & Country Club website generates £1000's in additional revenue

When taking over the management of Ingon Manor Hotel and Country Club in Stratford upon Avon, Beverley Haynes recognised she had her work cut out. The once successful establishment had suffered several years of poor management and was at the point of being sold off by the owners when Beverley offered them her help.

The core product hadn’t changed from when the venue was a successful leisure destination and Beverley quickly established that it was the lack of marketing that was the route cause of the decline. Beverley knew what needed to be done and arranged a meeting with Quiet Storm to start the ball rolling. A website was top of the list as this would be the most cost effective way of communicating the facilities and offers to the target audience.

Beverley knew that she needed to convince the local Tourist Information Boards that Ingon Manor was a destination worth recommending. She had to promote the golfing and fishing weekends to the various clubs who had previously used the location for competitions. Weddings were also a key source of revenue for the Hotel and finally the local business community who are the most likely to make use of the lunchtime menu specials and spread the word that Ingon Manor is once again the place to be.

A new corporate identity was created to reflect the new blood at the helm of the hotel and reflect the quality of the venue. The website would help to show people that Ingon Manor had what they were looking for, no matter what their interest. Quiet Storm worked closely with Beverley and took new photography which showed the mature golf course and excellent facilities. The website was designed to promote leisure breaks, weddings, golf, fishing, meetings and private functions.

“The website looked great and enabled us to control the content which meant that we could promote a different offer every weekend without incurring any additional cost. Once built and live anyone I called could access the information as I spoke to them on the telephone – I knew as I was talking to them that they were impressed and the resulting bookings were testament that my gut feeling was right.

The website really helped us get Ingon Manor back in the minds of our target market, we negotiated links with the Tourist Board and other tourist websites and have been amazed at the leads generated and business written. The site has been live a year now and just recently we added Gift Vouchers on the home page. We have taken over a £1000 on this alone, I think it is just incredible and has helped us tap into a completely new market for the business.”
