Sales treble with e-commerce website

Agadon already had a website but it was not easily found by internet search engines such as Google and Yahoo. If the search engines like a site, customers will follow. Also, the site itself was not as user friendly as it could have been because information was difficult to find.

Managing Director, Simon Hall explains: “Our old site was German-based. This restricted what we could do and it did not appeal to a UK audience. Quiet Storm has already produced a dynamic brochure for us and we wanted to replicate the feel of this on a new website. We asked them to design an e-commerce site that we could edit and optimise ourselves so that it would be attractive to the search engines. It also needed to have an immediate impact on UK visitors and be quick and easy for them to use. Customers should be able to find the product they want and order it on line with the minimum of fuss.

“Because Quiet Storm already understood our brand they were able to do this for us really well. The process was painless for us. The site gives us everything we asked for and the ability to edit content and key words provides the flexibility we need.

“We have had the site for two years now and it definitely works for us. We take orders every day and as a result of Quiet Storm’s e-commerce site sales have trebled within the time it has become live.”

Agadon offer one of the largest ranges of contemporary Italian styled radiators available in the UK. They make their designer radiators in Europe, cutting out the wholesaler and passing the savings onto the customer. Agadon also offers a bespoke service to cater for customers who need a radiator in a specific shape, size or colour.

The e-commerce site produced by Quiet Storm invites customers to browse the Agadon product range and place an order on-line. There is also a handy calculator to help customers define the radiator specification required for a particular room. The Shopping Basket function makes it easy for customers to keep track of what they are ordering and the helpline telephone number is prominently displayed to encourage visitors to call if they need advice. There is also a news section where Agadon can post press releases or notices – this is an easy way of keeping a site vibrant and attractive to search engines. Keeping the site up to date has been made easy for Agadon staff because Quiet Storm holds free workshops for website customers to learn how to optimise their site and become familiar with the edit toolbar.
