Working against the clock to stage construction industry awards

EMCBE Administrator, Louise Saxton commented: “We were relying on Quiet Storm to pull all the arrangements together into a professionally smooth event within the final few weeks. We needed them to design and produce a printed programme, tickets and certificates. They also had to create a Power Point backdrop presentation for the Awards Night which included video messages from the Judges and photographs of the shortlisted projects. All the staging and audio visual requirements on the night itself were established and managed by Quiet Storm.”

“They were brilliant and very professional, and always had time if I rang with a query. Arranging an event like this is a big responsibility and Quiet Storm provided solutions rather than problems, which made the whole experience highly enjoyable.”

“The printed items were produced efficiently and quickly and were excellent quality. We simply sent basic text to the studio and everything came back looking beautiful. On the night, everything ran like clockwork. At the end of the evening many delegates made a point of coming to speak to me to say how good the event had been and how impressed they had been with its management.”

Chief Executive David Walker added: "From the outset, after competitive selection, Quiet Storm provided a full AV solution to our requirements and became a true collaborative partner in the team effort to make this event a successful and memorable one. As timescales became compressed, for a variety of reasons, and the deadline for completion and readiness fast approached, Quiet Storm dealt with the situation calmly and professionally. Full marks to Quiet Storm for their competence, technical ability and working partnership with us."

EMCBE was established in 2004 by the East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) to provide strategic leadership to the construction industry in the region. The aim is to provide leadership through strong research into key areas such as environmental issues and skills development. It also organises a diverse and informative events calendar aimed at individual small and medium sized businesses and key figures within the region and provides a platform from which government organisations can develop and implement agendas.
