Working with a major brand to promote on-line sales

Representing a respected product range carries huge responsibility and Dermalogica issued strict design guidelines to protect its brand identity and ensure the new website was in line with its other marketing initiatives around the world.

Maxine said: “Quiet Storm have created great websites for my nail bar and beauty salon and I was confident they could deliver what I needed with my new venture – ‘Face Bar One’. I wanted to expand into on-line sales for the successful Dermalogica skin care range that I use and promote in my salon.

“Meeting Dermalogica’s exacting criteria must have been a challenge for Quiet Storm as they built the site for me. However, the web designers took this in their stride as they are used to working within tight parameters laid down by major brands.

“I am delighted with the finished result. The site design projects the professional image I was aiming for and is fitted with all the features I need to promote the products, take on-line orders and process payments.”

The Face Bar One e-commerce website has a clean and clinical design style that is brought alive through the use of a series of seven different flash tickers displaying images of the product range. An easy to follow menu structure leads customers to images plus descriptions and benefits of each individual product. Prices, discounts and product availability are clearly displayed and customers can simply type in their order quantity and add to the shopping basket. Customers are then directed to a secure credit and debit card payment facility.

A search option helps customers find specific products or items in the range for a particular application and a postcode search window directs visitors to salons using the Dermalogica products throughout the UK.
The e-commerce website package offered by Quiet Storm includes a five-step development process, 12 months’ free hosting and a lifetime support guarantee. Sites comply with DDA requirements and are search engine ready. Site content can be managed by clients in-house using the Quiet Storm Easy Edit Toolbar and visitor analysis tools make checking up on site traffic a simple process. Optional modules can be added at any time. These include a discussion board, photo library and a Press Room.
