Hat-trick of awards nominations for Quiet Storm and Risk

The whole team here at Quiet Storm is celebrating after learning we’ve been nominated for a hat-trick of business awards, for our commitment to the community and our work for our client, Risk Health & Safety.

We’ve been named as a finalist for the Community Impact award at the East Midlands Chamber’s Leicestershire Business Awards.

Risk, meanwhile, has been shortlisted in the Business Improvement Through Technology and eCommerce categories in the Chamber’s Nottinghamshire Business Awards.

The awards showcase the best businesses across the region, offering national recognition. They promote and recognise innovation, enterprise and accomplishment in businesses of all sizes, from across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.

The Community Impact Award all about celebrating businesses, such as ours, which take a proactive approach to CSR and giving something back to the communities they serve. At Quiet Storm, we run an active CSR programme, providing expertise, resource and support to local charitable organisations such as Hospice Hope, as well as developing links with local schools and colleges to offer local young people the opportunity to broaden their skills and gain work experience and a route into employment in the digital sector.

Our award nomination also reflects our work on Love Business, the region’s biggest annual B2B conference and expo, which brings businesses of all sizes across the region to collaborate, make new connections and drive the local economy forward.

The two awards which Risk has been nominated for, meanwhile, reflect our work on an advanced business technology solution which automates a lot of the booking and customer-facing processes that the organisation needs to run its business successfully, as well as providing its customers with a simple-to-use, self-serve ecommerce solution to buy its products.

If we are successful in the Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire Awards, we will compete against the other winners from other counties across the East Midlands, for the chance to represent the region at the British Chambers of Commerce’s national business awards in November.

Quiet Storm Managing Director Steve Megson said:

“This is fantastic news and the whole team here at Quiet Storm is buzzing that we have been nominated. We are firmly committed to serving the community across the East Midlands, so it’s good to have our efforts recognised by this nomination.

“It’s also amazing that our work on our long-serving client Risk’s new website has resulted in them getting shortlisted in two categories. We’re up against some fantastic businesses in all the categories we are shortlisted in, so it’s going to be tough but I wish all the finalists the best of luck and fingers crossed for September, when we will find out if we’ve won.”
