Haydock Commercial Vehicles is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of new Scania trucks, serving the north west of England and north Wales.  
It also sells one of the widest ranges of used Scania trucks in the country, which is constantly updated and comes mostly from Scania’s central buy back list. 
It holds a wide range of high quality pre-owned Scania vehicles of all specifications and ages with specialist sales staff at its five sites across the north west. 
It takes any model of truck in part-exchange and is always looking to buy premium quality used
Scania vehicles.
It also offers a full raft of complementary services for all makes, including servicing and repairs inspection and maintenance packages, MOT preparation and presentation, diagnostic services, accident management and repair, and end of contract return condition repairs. 

 

A customer-first approach 

Although the Haydock Commercials’ main online presence is part of Scania’s UK website, it needed a standalone website from which to sell used Scania trucks under its own brand. 
Quiet Storm was tasked with creating a mobile-responsive, user-friendly site that’s easy to manage and update with new vehicles.
The starting point was to define the buyer personas, because we realised the typical customer would be a visual buyer who would thoroughly research the product before making an enquiry.
Our platform enables the client to easily create and upload image galleries and video tours of each vehicle for sale, along with technical information and specifications which are displayed in an easy-to-read format. 
It is also fully optimised to be found by the search engines and includes information about Haydock Commercial Vehicles, as well as news and updates about the business.  

 

‘An easy decision to make’

Amanda Thornton, Haydock Commercials’ Marketing Manager, said: “We approached three agencies at the start of this project, but Quiet Storm understood our brief immediately. We were also impressed with the work they did on a competitor website which is why we went with them; it was an easy decision to make.
“I’ve never been involved in a web project of this scale before, but Quiet Storm made the whole process so easy and we’re delighted with the result.
“We needed a site that was really simple and easy to use for our customers, so it was absolutely crucial that they understood who our customers are and how they like to browse and buy.
“We also needed the website to contain all the right information about us, what we do and what we can offer to the customers, as well as details about the vehicles we have for sale, which needed to be presented in a really visual way to our customers.
“The training we have received has also been excellent and we are really looking forward to getting the website fully up-and-running so we can see what it does for us.”
