Rise and Recline is a specialist furniture manufacturer based in Long Eaton, the upholstery capital of the UK.
It manufactures hand-made, bespoke ‘rise and recline’ chairs, sofas and adjustable beds with unsurpassed quality, attention to detail and superior customer service. The company was founded in 2001 and has established itself as a leader in its market sector.
Every product it manufactures is made to the exact size, shape and weight of the customer and allows them to choose their own style, fabric and finish to create a truly unique piece of furniture. Each piece is manufactured from start to finish within ten days. Its products are ideal for customers with additional mobility needs.
Quiet Storm has worked on several projects with Rise & Recline in recent years, and in 2020, we were appointed to help create a new website and CRM system to streamline its backend operations and enhance its online presence.
The bespoke, SEO-focused website we developed provides visitors with an overview of Rise & Recline’s entire product range. It makes use of strong imagery and video content throughout the site to provide a simple and seamless user journey, highlighting the key benefits and features of each individual product.
It has a user-friendly CMS system which gives its team the ability to fully manage the content, including a reseller directory, blog and unlimited content pages. It features an online store locator, where customers can find their nearest stockist and book a consultation to order their custom-made furniture.
The website also includes an online reseller portal, which integrates with the CRM we developed and provides functionality for pricing and discounts, product naming, and an online ‘chair builder’ that gives resellers the ability to construct a chair to the specific requirements of their customers. An instant PDF quote linked to the ‘chair builder’ can be created and issued, and once the order is confirmed, it can be processedvia the sales dashboard so production can begin.
We also supported Rise & Recline’s successful application to the D2N2 Growth Hub and the Business Investment Fund for grant funding towards the development of the website and CRM from the European Regional Development Fund.
Rise & Recline Managing Director John Lougher said:
“The advice, guidance and support we got from Quiet Storm at every stage of this project was exceptional. They took the time to really gain an insight into our business to help us understand where improvements and efficiencies could be made to streamline our sales processes and operations. They then went away and developed an innovative online solution to help us engage more customers and make it easier for our resellers to take orders and submit them for manufacture and fulfilment.
“Quiet Strom were also a massive support in helping us to identify and apply for grant funding to help us make this investment in digital technology that takes our business to the next level.”
