Newsletter sales success for Cambs Compressors

Cambs Compressors Engineering is one of the UK’s leading providers of compressed air equipment and services.

Established in 1993, the family-run firm has built an unrivalled reputation for offering a complete solution, from sourcing and supplying new and second-hand compressors to servicing and maintenance, pipework design and installation, energy monitoring and leak testing.

All its services are backed by highly competitive rates and a first-class call-out response service.
Its engineers work with clients to predict issues with how their compressed air is used and maintained and how the environment will impact upon it.

This helps customers avoid the cost and disruption of breakdowns or expensive repairs by spotting potential issues before they become big problems. Cambs Compressors is a longstanding Quiet Storm client, and we’ve been looking after its website and strategic marketing for several years.

A strategic content marketing programme

Cambs Compressors has signed up for a strategic content marketing programme with Quiet Storm. This is a structured, out of the box solution to help generate leads.

We produce a quarterly printed newsletter, which the firm sends out to a database of more than 500 clients.
Our work includes liaising with the client to see what news they want to share, writing the content and sourcing imagery, designing and printing the newsletter and distributing it to its mailing list. The document is also uploaded, in digital form, to the firm’s website, where it can be shared across its social media and other online channels.

Earlier this year, on the back of an announcement by Chancellor Rishi Sunak, the newsletter featured an article about a new tax relief available against the purchase of new compressed air equipment.

The article generated plenty of interest, including a sales lead for the potential replacement of two old Hydrovane compressors with new machines and a solution to evaluate the savings in reduced air loss.

‘Solutions that really work’

Mark Fryer, Managing Director of Cambs Compressors, said:

“Our ‘Solutions’ newsletter has always proved to be a great way of keeping our customers connected, engaged and up to date with everything we do here, but also has some tangible benefits.

“On the back of a recent article, we got a sales enquiry through from a client which just goes to show that sharing our thoughts and opinions on industry issues does carry weight and helps build trust with customers. We work in a highly competitive industry, so anything we can do to stand out from the crowd and position ourselves as market leaders has to be a good thing.

“The ongoing support we’ve received from Quiet Storm over the years has been great, and it’s results like this which show that the digital and marketing solutions they recommend really work.”
