Rising to the exhibition challenge

Rise & Recline is a specialist furniture manufacturer based in Long Eaton, the upholstery capital of the UK. It manufactures hand-made, bespoke ‘rise and recline’ chairs, sofas and adjustable beds with unsurpassed quality, attention to detail and superior customer service.

The company was founded in 2001 and has established itself as a leader in its market sector. Every product it manufactures is made to the exact size, shape and weight of the customer and allows them to choose their own style, fabric and finish to create a truly unique piece of furniture. Each piece is manufactured from start to finish within ten days. Its products are ideal for customers with additional mobility needs.

Quiet Storm has worked on several projects with Rise & Recline in recent years. Earlier this year, we were tasked with creating its exhibition materials for NAIDEX, Europe’s largest trade show for solutions that support independent living.

An innovative presence

Taking place over three days at the NEC in Birmingham, NAIDEX showcases wide-ranging solutions to improve mobility and accessibility, the latest innovations and technology, and explores the future of digital and physical accessibility. It featured over 200 world-class suppliers, 100 inspirational seminars and panels, and a host of interactive and stimulating features.

It was the first exhibition Rise & Recline had taken part in since the start of the pandemic and marked the debut of its new brand identity, which Quiet Storm developed.

We did all the design and print for Rise & Recline’s exhibition stands and marketing materials, including sales binders to help its reps demonstrate its new product offering.

A huge success

Rise & Recline Managing Director John Lougher said:

“This was the first time we had physically showcased our new brand to the trade, so it was crucial we made the right impression.

“We invested a lot of time, money and effort into rebranding our business and getting our product offering and website just right, which Quiet Storm was a big part of, and this event was all about showcasing what we do and bringing our new positioning and services to the industry.

“The advice, guidance and support we got from Quiet Storm at every stage of this project was exceptional. They took the time to really gain an insight into our business to help us understand the best ways of drawing attention to our stand and interacting with visitors.

“They then went away and developed an innovative strategy to help us engage more customers at the event and showcase our brand and business in the best light.

“The event was a huge success, and we’re already making plans for the next one on the back of what we achieved this year.”
