2025 a milestone year! Quiet Storm recently celebrated a significant milestone, transitioning to 100% employee ownership on April 3rd. This momentous occasion was marked by a client open day and KuKu Connect reception, unveiling a new leadership team and a refreshed brand. Founder Steve Megson will continue to guide the company’s strategy as CEO, entrusting daily operations to newManaging Director Lewis Combey. Lewis, who started as an apprentice in 2015, will be supported by new Company Secretary Amy Heath, who joined in 2018. Long-standing directors Kathy and Philip will now mentor Lewis and Amy. The celebration saw clients from across the UK attend, with presentations showcasing Quiet Storm’s AI capabilities, including AI portrait generation. A rebrand and new website reflect this new chapter, highlighting the company’s 37-year history of innovation since its 1987 inception on July 4th! The event also featured long service awards, recognising Philip Megson and Chris Forster (30 years), Sam Web (20 years), and Lewis Combey (10 years). Steve Megson emphasised that the move to employee ownership, a five-year process, will empower the team and directly benefit clients through enhanced creativity and service, ensuring Quiet Storm continues to adapt and deliver innovative solutions. Special recognition for impact on East Midlands business community Quiet Storm received a special honorary award at the Nachural Entrepreneurship Awards, recognising over a decade of dedication to the East Midlands business community. Founded in 2012 by CEO Steve Megson, Love Business was born from a need for accessible promotional opportunities for local companies. What began as a Valentine’s Day launch quickly grew into the region’s most attended annual business expo, fostering connections and sharing success stories through the Love Business News website. This recognition validates Quiet Storm’s hard work in nurturing this essential resource, and though operational reins of Love Business Expo have been passed to Gemma Orton at EMA, Quiet Storm remains in control of the brand and the news website.
