T S Bloor & Sons provide an extensive range of quality meat products to the wholesale, retail and catering trade. The Leicestershire based company employs a highly skilled and dedicated team and has a history dating back over 100 years. This proud heritage was used to great effect in an A4 leaflet designed and printed by Quiet Storm.
A simple and stylish flyer was requested which would raise the profile of the range of hams available. To tie in with the company’s traditional branding, a charming sepia photograph showing Bloor’s butcher shop, circa 1904, was used to create a distinctive header to the flyer and set the background colour for the design. The leaflet featured Bloor’s range of cooked, cured and traditionally roasted hams. To give added impact, and ensure a crisp and professional result, the hams were individually photographed in the Quiet Storm studio. Mouth-watering descriptions were written beneath each of the product images and a line highlighting other items in the product range was included at the foot of the leaflet along with contact details for T S Bloor & Sons.
Paul Allan, Sales Executive for T S Bloor said: “This was a first for us. Prior to this leaflet we didn’t have any real point of sale materials or advertising for the company. We were looking to create a more professional profile that would deliver a stronger message to our customers. We commissioned a print run of 1000 and have been using the leaflet alongside our product list and prices. As well as giving us the opportunity to issue more effective mailshots we have used the leaflets as promotional handouts to customers. They have been a great help with our sales efforts and the product images have been a major part of that. So much so that we have commissioned another photo shoot showing platters of meats and garnished joints. This will give us a set of images that can be supplied to our customers for use in their own food services brochures.
