New look staff newsletter delivers desired results

Internal communications to a diverse and geographically spread set of employees needs to engage as well as inform – that means stimulating feedback.

UTL, a Unipart Group Company, had been writing and distributing an employee newsletter for around three years but felt the time was right for a revamp. The company provide logistics, field services and repair solutions to the mobile telecoms, consumer electronics and consumer retail sectors and are committed to employee engagement.

“Our Connections newsletter had become quite well established within the company but we wanted more from it. We wanted it to be a vehicle for engagement for colleagues and we just didn’t feel that was happening. We were looking for something a bit more creative.

Quiet Storm were able to reassure us from the outset that they understood what we wanted to achieve. They are so easy to work with and I feel there has been a really professional approach to this project. They came back to us with great ideas and a suggested layout. From the first issue we all saw a difference. Feedback has been great. Senior staff have commented on how professional and nicely designed it is and shop floor staff like the fact it is more colourful now. They want to pick it up and read it! That’s the result we were hoping for. Quiet Storm have taken our newsletter to the next level.”
