Culina Logistics invest in three international websites to
23 July 2003
With clients including Kraft, Danone and Tropicana, Culina is at the very forefront of its industry.
But the same has not always been true of its website. When it was created the site served the purpose of providing information, but Culina is aware that to keep a site fresh and to encourage visitors to return to it, it needs to be updated and added to on a regular basis.
Culina Logistics has three core European operations, UK, Germany and Italy, each with their own website and each website had its own look. Having just had a redesign of the corporate identity they wanted a single styling to be implimented. Each site was in a different language and the editorial control for each was country specific.
Quiet Storm Solutions had created an e-commerce site for the logistics giant, www.culina.biz, where existing clients can track consignments and check stock levels in storage to the nearest three hours. Culina was so impressed with this site that it asked Quiet Storm to have a look at its main one.
“We wanted an entirely new look, something modern and clean,” said Nicky Kelly from Commercial Support at Culina. “We also wanted a site that we could update ourselves without the need for complex technical know-how.”
“Quiet Storm has achieved this for us and we are very pleased. We now have a site where areas like the news pages can be updated quickly and easily in-house. The Support Agreement we have with Quiet Storm also means that we have no worries if, for example, there are problems with the server.”
The new sites although all linked are completely independent of one another but give the appearance of a single site.
And Culina is so pleased with the appearance of the new site – www.culinalogistics.com – that it has asked Quiet Storm to return to the biz site and brings its appearance in line with it.
