£50m tender wins five year logistics contract

When Aston Martin asked Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive to tender for their onsite logistics we were the smallest company of those selected.

Tendering for new business is never easy, especially when you are regarded as possibly the ‘wildcard’ in those asked to pitch for the business. So when the opportunity for the Aston Martin tender arose, the senior management team at Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive knew they needed an edge.

Working through the tender documentation using the Storming® process enabled the management team to question the information being requested. Brainstorming possible frustrations Aston Martin may have been experiencing with their incumbent provider. This was then translated into a highly graphic tender proposal which echoed the iconic sports car manufacturers desire for a ‘showroom style’ manufacturing environment.

“As a direct result of Quiet Storm’s support we were delighted to be awarded the contract. Feedback given highlighted it was our approach which had demonstrated an intuitive level of understanding of their business needs. A proposal which went beyond the simple functional logistical requirements requested, and it was this approach that won us the contract.””
