Let's do Business Expo website booking success for the Staffordshire & Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce
Let's do business is the largest single event hosted jointly by the Staffordshire and the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce. It takes place at Uttoxeter Racecoure and attracts a whopping 1000 visitors and more each year. The event has been running since 2013 and to continues to grow. It was recognized that a new website was needed to both help promote and manage the event.

We needed a website which could manage more of the booking process
The event has grown so much that it was stretching our resources. I recognised that we needed to streamline and automate the processes managing the event so we could free up our people.
The website wish list was put to several web development companies
Like any membership organisation, the Chamber needed to ensure we were getting the best value. Which meant a formal tender process - the challenge was we didn't know what was possible. So writing a detailed brief for the companies to tender against needed to be focused upon the results we wanted, rather than the specific functionality.
The responses were great but one company stood out
Quiet Storm were the standout company because they were the only one who ticked every box. Right solution, right price and they could do it within the deadline specified. What's more they could show us how we could optimise our internal processes promoting the event and taking bookings.
The website has been a huge success and given us a platform for growth
The website was launched on the 1st of February 2016, and was the core promotional tool for the Lets do Business Expo which took place on 23rd of June. The site was easy to find on search engines, despite other similar named events held throughout the UK. It managed all exhibitor bookings including location selection, payment and relevant documentation. It also took the bookings for over 800 delegates.

The website has been a great tool which has helped us to deliver a great experience for our members booking stands. The feedback from non-members attending is they found the booking process easy and the website is really informative. We’re already planning next year’s event and the sites content management system will make it easy for us to make the changes ourselves to update the site ready for 2017.
