Bosworth Water Park - A new approach to marketing transforms profits

With business profits historically sunshine dependent, it was amazing to reflect upon the wettest 12 months in our history - and see our best financial performance ever.

Bosworth Water Park is a well established family business built upon the vision of Nigel Ryley. In 1990, Friezeland Farm was purchased and Nigel had the vision to transform it to one of the best visitor destinations in the Midlands. Creating a 50 acre lake, caravan park, touring caravan site, a camping site and 3 fishing lakes - oh, and a Christmas tree farm and winter wonderland; Nigel had his work cut out. Fast forward 26 years and Nigel's dream was a thriving family business.

When Nigel was ready to hand over the running of the business to his sons, and deservedly take things a little easier - the pressure was on. His two sons, Toby and Ben wanted to drive the business forward without losing the heritage and core values established.

When seeking out a marketing company, Toby was like many other business owners - very skeptical. Having asked around, Quiet Storms' name was mentioned by several trusted business colleagues and friends. A phone call later and attending a free sales & marketing workshop, soon helped build the confidence in seeking help.

The strategy was to redefine the brand and educate existing and potential new customers just what was on offer.  The process enabled us to take a step back and see things like a customer. With this new perspective we set out the new brand to communicate how we wanted people to see us.

This new branding was able to galvanise all of the features and attractions, so any potential customers get an immediate flavour of the many attractions on offer when engaging with us.

A new website helped us to further define this and sell more to our existing customer base whilst broadening our exposure and reach.
