Guiding towards a brighter future

Quiet Storm is a proud longstanding supporter of Hospice Hope, which supports people with life-limiting conditions across North West Leicestershire. The registered charity was founded in 2002 following the closure of the Sue Ryder Hospice at Staunton Harold.

Hospice Hope offers a wide range of services across the community to people diagnosed with conditions that reduce their quality of life. Its services include counselling, befriending, support cafés, complementary therapies, emotional support activities and online groups. Later this year, the charity plans to rebrand as Bright Hope ahead of moving into Bright Hope House, its new purpose-built headquarters and day centre near Swannington.

We’ve been partnering with Hospice Hope since 2010, providing marketing and communications support to help spread its message, engage its supporters and raise awareness of its fundraising activities. We were commissioned in 2020 to support its long-term rebranding project.

A new identity

The move to Bright Hope House ushers in an exciting new era for the charity. Planning permission for the new centre was granted in December 2022, and construction started in January, with completion due by the end of the year. Part of its plan is to rebrand to Bright Hope in 2023. As the charity opens its next chapter, it needs a name that more accurately reflects its services and future direction. Being known as a hospice also makes it more challenging to apply for grant funding.

As part of the rebrand project, we worked closely with Hospice Hope’s charity administrator, Jane Hagreen, its management team, and the board of trustees to develop the new name, brand and visual identity. We held several workshops and discussions to define the charity’s mission, values and audiences and understand its objectives and plans before helping to clarify its message and bring it to life.

We produced an enhanced brand guidelines document which sets the visual framework for the brand’s rollout in the months ahead. We’ll also be on hand to help design and produce the marketing materials needed to support the rebrand.

A huge help

“We’re so grateful for the partnership and incredible work that the Quiet Storm team has done for us over the past 13 years. For the rebrand project, they guided us through the process of reimagining our name, purpose and identity with creativity and strategy that left us feeling inspired and excited for the next chapter. The results are stunning, our brand guidelines perfectly capture what we stand for as an organisation, and we can’t wait to roll them out. As we embark on this exciting new journey, it’s good to know that Quiet Storm will be in our corner, helping us to spread the word about our mission and keep our supporters and service users up to date with our plans and activities.”
